PART 1 – GENERAL

    1. Product cross-section drawings, as needed.
    2. U-factor chart(s).
    3. Structural ratings based on AAMA/WDMA 101/I.S.2
    4. Shop drawings including/or window schedule, window elevations, sections and details.
    5. Weathervane will provide test reports when tested product configurations match configurations specified for a particular project.  At the option of the buyer, Weathervane will arrange for testing by an accredited laboratory for the purpose of providing test report(s) for project-specific product configurations and sizes.

    1. Warranty shall cover defects in material and workmanship
    2. Warranty shall provide repair or replacement parts and labor.
    3. Weathervane’s Limited Lifetime Warranty (submitted separately) shall apply without modification.  No other warranties or special warranty provisions shall apply to Weathervane products other than as provided in the Weathervane Warranty.

    1. Frames and sash shall have welded corners, trimmed and finished.
    2. Provide internal steel or aluminum reinforcement according to Manufacturer’s standard.
    3. Factory glaze with snap-in PVC glazing stops applied to the exterior. 
  1. Finish
    1. Frame, sash, and screen shall be Manufacturer’s standard White or Tan color, as specified on window schedule.
    2. Color match all components

PART 3—INSTALLATION

  1. Examine openings and verify installation dimensions
  2. Correct any unsatisfactory framing conditions

III.   Install windows in accordance with Manufacturer’s label recommendations or equivalent practice
IV.  Do not remove temporary NFRC label
V.   Install insect screen
VI.  Verify window frame drainage holes (weep holes), where present, are open and functioning.
VII.  Field Quality Control
Weathervane will submit to field testing by an AAMA accredited testing agency.  In lieu of AAMA accreditation, Weathervane reserves the right to challenge, and if necessary, to reject any test results produced by any entity shown to be unqualified.  Field testing shall be according to AAMA 502-02 with static test pressures of two-thirds the prescribed test pressure required for the above listed DP ratings.  In the event of test failure, Weathervane shall have to opportunity to repair or modify the failed window for retest.  Upon acceptance after retest, Weathervane shall make the same repairs or modifications, as needed, to all windows of that type.  However, Weathervane reserves the right to treat minor test failures caused by variations in workmanship as isolated occurrences that shall not require repairs to all windows if it is the judgment of Weathervane that such failures are random, are likely to occur only under test conditions, and in any event do not, if present, pose a threat to persons or property.  Weathervane shall instead rely on the provisions of the Weathervane Limited Lifetime Warranty as the sole remedy in the event of such failures.
